E9 Draw-wire sensor

The E9 Draw-wire sensor, also referred to as wire crack meter and wire extensometer allows for monitoring the changes in the distance between the Draw-wire Sensor and an anchor point.

It is designed for large displacements when monitoring cracks, rock masses, earth faults, and landslides.

Product Features

  • Suitable for long-term monitoring
  • Suitable for manual or remote monitoring
  • Rugged design

Product Benefits

  • Accurate, repeatable readings over long cable lengths
  • Long working life, long-term stability and reliability
  • Connecting cable is strong, screened and flexible
  • Ideal for installations in harsh environments

By setting the wire to mid-range the sensor can monitor both extension or convergence of the anchor position.

The distance between the anchor and the sensor can be up to 30 m and the connection is made by stainless steel wire configurable on-site. Changes in the distance between the sensor and the anchor are measured by the sensor.

The compact Draw-wire measures displacements between two positions in structures, rock masses and ground surfaces.

Typical applications include:

  • Landslides
  • Earth faults
  • Rock mass monitoring
